Thompson Thrift is hiring a full-time Director of Recruiting to work out of our corporate Indianapolis, IN or Terre Haute, IN offices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the Company has a strong pool of quality candidates that allows the Company to meet its ongoing staffing needs. The following is not an exhaustive list:
- Working closely with leadership to understand the Company’s current and future staffing needs.
- Developing a strong understanding of the organizations jobs, the business sector the Company operates in, and how the jobs fit into the overall picture.
- Assessing market conditions in different geographic locations across the country.
- Developing and executing strategies to attract top talent for the Company’s open positions.
- Researching and applying knowledge of different recruiting channels and methods.
- Tracking of current and planned open positions.
- Reporting on recruiting progress and metrics.
- Building a strong network of internal and external business contacts that help facilitate the identification and attraction of top candidates to the Company.
- Developing a strong social media presence and tactics for attracting quality candidates to the Company; and oversight of the day-to-day activities of a dedicated recruiting team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business, or related field. Or an equivalent level of education and experience.
- 10 years of recruiting experience with a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity.
- Must posses leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Must have stellar decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Must have advanced oral communication skills.
- Successful candidates will be attentive and have vision.
- Successful candidates will possess strong analytical skills.

Performing this job will sometimes require the employee to walk work sites that do not have infrastructure, this includes walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The noise in the construction work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
