Engineering consulting firm is seeking to fill Building Enclosure Inspector career positions at its Canton, MA office location.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a unique small business with a big 128-year history, conducting tests on large-scale construction, historic buildings, and pre- and post-construction projects including some of the most iconic buildings in New England. Training provided.
Position Duties :
Successful candidate performs specialized building enclosure services on large-scale buildings : weatherproofing tests and inspection services, along with forensic services, window, curtain wall, storefront, and door testing, FM Global wind uplift test, smoke test and electronic leak detection for roofs.
Is responsible for interpreting and recording findings, processing reports, and interfacing with clients, along with other duties as assigned by the Director of Building Enclosure Services.
Requirements :
Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift up to 125 pounds.
While in the field may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, stand up to eight hours or more at a time, and work from heights (ex.
