Job Responsibilities/Requirements: Veterinary technicians must be registered or licensed to apply for this position. Requirements of this position include: good client communication and phone skills, basic computer literacy skills, ability to multitask in busy atmosphere, ability to lift 50 pounds, write legibly, dress professionally (scrubs), show up on time for each shift (including Saturdays as needed), ability to administer injections, perform venipuncture, take vitals, restrain animals when necessary for examination or treatment, provide treatments/medication as necessary, and working well independently and in group settings.

Other responsibilities include assisting veterinarians in medical procedures (including surgical), maintaining and using medical equipment, performing routine laboratory procedures and analyses, preparing samples for outside laboratory analysis, monitoring patients under anesthesia, inducing anesthesia and intubation, initiating emergency procedures, maintaining pharmacy records/test logs, taking and developing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, completing ear cleanings and nail trims, and performing other duties as needed.
