Required Job Specific Competencies:

• Provides direction and guidance for patient activities and teaching related to the perioperative experience
• Coordinates activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice
• Provision of nursing care to patients and families in the perioperative setting including the pre surgical and post surgical patient
• Ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments/nursing interventions
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Exhibits leadership skills through active participation in unit- and department-level nursing councils and committees

Requirements:

• NYS licensed registered nurse required
• Current CPR/BLS required
• ACLS within one year required
• PALS preferred
• CPAN/CAPA preferred

Education:

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, either AAS or BSN

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of medical/surgical experience preferred
• Cardiac monitoring preferred
• Critical care preferred
• Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service Reliability and flexibility

Position Pay Range: $34.00-48.00/hour
