Watermark Design Group, an established Mobile area Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design firm is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Project Architect to join our team. The Senior Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of multiple projects simultaneously, from conception through to completion. The successful candidate will be a leader within the design team, working closely with other architects, designers, and engineers to ensure that all project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design and development of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they meet the client's needs and requirements.
• Lead and manage the design process, from conception to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, including junior architects, designers, and drafters.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including architectural plans, specifications, and project schedules.
• Review and approve design and construction documents, ensuring that they meet all applicable codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as project management, construction, and engineering, to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Ensure that all project communication is clear, concise, and timely.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is progressing according to plan

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• At least 10 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on commercial, industrial or institutional projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion.
• Strong design skills and experience with various design software programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates currently living in Mobile, Alabama or the surrounding area. Candidates interested in relocation will be considered.
• Licensed Architect with NCARB certification.
• LEED AP Certified or interest in pursuing certification
