The Thompson Internship Program is an 8-12 week program for college students to learn and gain professional work experience. The intern program is designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities in a setting that requires teamwork with interns from other disciplines like engineering, architecture, field services, and other professional services.

The Marketing intern will have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills and an interest in learning about a highly-skilled, complex profession.

Potential Duties:

• Fully support company's internal and external Marketing strategy and assist with proposal. coordination, information management, internal meetings, tradeshows and corporate events, content and design of marketing materials.
• Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and business development initiatives.
• Assist with content creation for company's qualifications library.
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, promotion and attendance of various events.
• Design proposals, graphics, and other marketing materials.

Qualifications:

• Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English or related field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues and community contacts in a professional manner.
• Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Must be willing to work flexible schedules and overtime if required.
• Ability to work in the field or outside, able to bend, stoop, climb and walk on uneven terrain and pavements, concrete, grass, dirt and gravel.
