We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Materials Technician to join our team. As a Materials Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our construction projects. Duties:
- Perform quality inspections on materials used in construction projects
- Collect data and analyze results to identify any issues or areas for improvement
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on concrete materials
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on soils and aggregates
- Conduct field and laboratory density tests on asphalt pavements
- Collaborate with contractors and project managers to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
- Monitor construction sites for adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Document findings and prepare reports for review by project stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in quality control or construction inspection preferred
- ACI Field Technician I certification (req.)
- ACI Strength Testing Technician (pref.)
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician certification (pref.)
- Current Nuclear Gauge Safety/HAZMAT certification (pref.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using relevant software applications for data collection and analysis
