Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining infection control protocols, and ensuring patient comfort.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for each patient
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform aseptic techniques and maintain infection control protocols
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures
- Assist with patient assessment and triage

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Current certification in dental assisting (CDA) preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (preferred)
- Familiarity with dental software systems for record keeping
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

We are seeking a Part-Time Certified Dental Assistant with 2 to 3 years of experience to join our friendly, warm, and modern office in the Cockeysville area. We are looking for a caring, easy-going individual. The position is currently three days/week, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursday from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm.
