The Program Manager plans and implements K-12 academic outreach programs that educate and support the regionrsquo;s next generation of STEM and healthcare professionals. The Program Manager also serves as the point of contact for education, community, and University partners for academic outreach initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plans and implements academic outreach initiatives serving K-12 students including a middle school STEM program and high school healthcare career exploration program.
  • Conducts outreach for participant recruitment and retention to achieve program objectives.
  • Conducts outreach for volunteer recruitment and retention.
  • Collaborates with University staff, faculty, and students to develop/deliver user-centered program content.
  • Manages day-to-day program logistics and resources.
  • Tracks and reports on program performance and outcomes.
  • Uses feedback to improve programs.
  • Tracks expenses and maintains program budget.
  • Builds relationships with K-12 school partners.
  • Collaborates with Office of Insititutional Advancement on grants and funding needs.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelorrsquo;s degree in a related field

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 yearsrsquo; experience in education-based program planning/delivery/assessment.
