The Lead MA is responsible for direct patient care and assuming a leadership role with other clinical; responsible to assure all duties performed in a professional manner according to established policies, procedures and standards of care.

This position requires providing service to the following age population(s) in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Education/Training/Experience

Experience working as a Medical Assistant (2 years) and experience in an applicable leadership role.

HS diploma or equivalent required.

Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants is required (5 years of continuous MA work in a very similar setting may be considered as equivalent to an accredited MA program).

Knowledge/familiarity with ICD9 codes, CPT coding and medical terminology is required.

Ability to perform clinical functions such as veni-puncture, finger sticks, injections and lab/specimen prep, as well as successful completion of computer-based clinical skills testing is required.

General typing (28 WPM) preferred; filing and reception skills, spelling, grammar and telephone etiquette skills and strong customer service skills are required.

Prior graduation from Einstein Font Line Leadership is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Current certification from the Medical Association of Medical Assistants preferred.

CPR preferred.

Enrollment in Einsteinrsquo;s in Front Line Leadership class is required within 6 months of acceptance of position.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
