Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health is Hiring an Assistant Director, Digital Communications Near Philadelphia, PA

The Assistant Director, Digital Communcations is responsible for developing, managing, maintaining, and analyzing online communications vehicles of the Office of Institutional Advancement. They oversee operations, maintenance, and analytics for e-newsletters, marketing emails, and event emails, and support development and implementation of multimedia content and websites for the Office of Institutional Advancement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage and deploy email communications through Adobe Campaign Manager (ACM)
  • Oversee email communication calendar to ensure subscriber growth and list health
  • Monitor audience behaviors using analytics tools
  • Test and refine digital communications messaging through A/B testing
  • Curate performance reports and monitor key trends and insights
  • Develop and implement websites for the Office of Institutional Advancement,including campaign sites,using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Lead the digital communications strategy for OIA events,including building and deploying engaging event promotional emails,and leverage Cvent#39;s robust capabilities to craft user-friendly registration paths and websites
  • Coordinate the implementation of online communications
  • Use Google Analytics (GA4) to track and analyze online metrics to improve websites and online communications
  • Partner with internal and external content managers,editors,designers,developers,and other Jefferson staff,particularly Interactive Marketing,to ensure sites meet both client and Jefferson needs,align with the brand strategy platform,and meet Jefferson Web standards
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

BA or MFA Digital Media, Interaction Design, Marketing or related degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3 years experience of Web team/projects
  • Strong user understanding and demonstrated expertise in Web content, usability, architecture, development and design.
  • Required knowledge of the following:
  • HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, mySQL, javascript
  • Adobe suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Preferred - XML, AJAX, RSS, PHP, ASP, SQLserver,
  • Experience with iModules is a plus

  • Excellent web/digital media project management.
  • Fluent in development optimization techniques to deliver the best user experiences in the most technically efficient manner.
