JOB SUMMARY

The IT Extern provides first level technical support to all Thomas Health System users and customers. Ability to routinely handle telephone inquiries for assistance, and make decisions based on policy and direct calls to the appropriate personnel as required. Implements and ensures common IT&S security standards and in particular Thomas Health System security standards. Able to work scheduled hours as dictated by business needs. Good customer relation skills are required. Perform basic troubleshooting of internal computer networks. The ability to solve problems quickly is a valuable attribute.

Hardware: Responsibilities includes installation, diagnosing, documenting, repairing, replacing parts, and testing of computers, thin clients, printers, or other devices as required.

Software: Responsibilities involves installing, updating, and troubleshooting applications. Assists with tracking software compliance and licensing on all systems in Thomas Health System.
