Thomas Health System is Hiring an OR Supply Coordinator Near South Charleston, WV
JOB SUMMARY
The OR Supply Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Surgical Services Department in a timely and cost effective procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for use in all areas of the departments. Provides the leadership and guidance necessary for the accurate receipt and storage of stock items. Maintains appropriate records to account for items received as well as stock supplies. Properly maintains identified par levels. Obtains return voucher information from the Materials Management Department and assists in returning items to vendors. Will assist in data collection for contract compliance. Will perform outher duties as assigned by Director of Material Management.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate in Finance, Business Management or similar degree preferred.
Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing or ORT school required.
LICENSURE
RN if RN candidate
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience with procurement functions in the hospital environment; this will be substituted for Nursing/ORT background if applicable.
5 years of hospital based experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION
CORT, CORN, or CMRP preferred.
COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required. Experience in McKesson Supply Chain Management a plus.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
