Wage range: $19/DOE Monday-Friday mainly some special events if requested.

Job Specific Duties

  • Meet with clients to set up expectations for events
  • Plan menus with the Executive Chef, Food Service Director or Sous Chef
  • Use CaterTrax program for catering operations
  • Help with preparing, prepping or cooking off items for catering
  • Setup and delivery of catering events with the ability to show creativity and originality in the food presentations
  • Keep abreast of industry trends 
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures
  • List out items needed for events such as supplies, food and equipment order if needed promptly
  • Responsible for maintaining clean equipment, storage and catering van
  • Monitor food quality and refills promptly 
  • Maintain Stock and recommended purchases
  • During deliveries practice courtesy always obey traffic laws and defensive driving techniques

What you will need

  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
  • Successful candidates must meet the eligibility criteria
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • General knowledge of catering and commerical kitchen operations
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to function under limited supervision and in a faced paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner verbally

Physical and Sensory Requirements

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy bags of flour or trays of baked goods, and perform repetitive tasks. The employee is frequently exposed to flames, fumes, or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet & or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat & vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Walking and standing for several hours and driving with hot food, cold within a van. Lifting items to and from the delivery van, must be able to climb stairs if needed and ride in closed spaces such as elevators.
