Thomas Cars of Johnstown LLC is Hiring a Dealership Inventory Manager Near Johnstown, PA

Description

Position Information: The Dealership Inventory Manager will communicate with the Reconditioning Department and assist the Sales Department with inventory acquisition, vehicle processing, vehicle marketing, time to lot, lot display management, and acting as backup desk manager as needed.

  • Back-up desking manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet every customer, every day
  • Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
  • Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
  • Ensure that all new/preowned vehicles are photographed and video graphed in a timely manner
  • Monitor timely vehicle processing to achieve 5 days or less to retail
  • Maintain an attractive retail lot presentation
  • Preset aged used inventory to sales team for sales presentation and video highlighting 
  • Participate regularly in sales management meetings for the promotion of new and used inventory 
  • Conduct weekly meetings with recon team to review quality of work and effectively, post scorecards
  • Assist Sales Management as needed with Dealer Trades, Inv. Appraisals and Desk Coverage
  • Handle New Car Ordering to provide 75 day supply of correct inventory! 
  • Update DMS with Inventory Details
  • Process Reconditioning Repair Orders
  • Schedule Reconditioning Technicians to provide required store coverage
  • Control Inventory aging by working with management to display, price or wholesale
  • Create/Retain, Deal Jackets with all proper documentation
  • Accept all new inventory, conduct inspection, sign off and label keys and process in DMS
  • Monitor market trends to enable correct inventory 
  • Provide appraisal training and software utilization to all Sales Management and conduct accurate appraisals
  • Communicate with Wholesale Management to turn inventory quickly
  • Review all OEM communications to provide consistent on lot presentations i.e. rebates, APRs, etc.
  • Maintain OEM Training in a timely manner to provide 100% completion rates
  • Assist in ensuring coverage for Sales management
  • Ensure vehicle signage is accurate and professional
  • Review with Sales Staff lot location expectations
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards

Requirements

Qualifications: High school diploma and/or equivalent. College degree preferred. 3 years’ experience in dealership sales or acquisition position required. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance. Excellent communication skills in person, on the telephone, and in writing. Will be trained on all dealership computer systems.

Working Conditions: Will move about dealerships, both indoors and outdoors, to consult with employees and customers. Travel to dealerships is required. Other travel to auctions, etc. may be required as directed.
