Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management and Execution:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale data warehouse projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth project progression.
• Contractor Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage contractor performance, and ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Implement effective communication channels and project management tools to monitor the progress of contractors.
• Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies related to data warehousing and contractor management tools.
  • Ensure the engineering team and contractors adhere to best practices in data management, security, and privacy.
• Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to define the strategic direction for data warehouse projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Allocate resources effectively and manage budgets to maximize return on investment.
• Team Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and facilitate professional growth opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale data warehouse projects.
• Proven experience in managing third-party contractors and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of data warehouse architectures, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers and other professionals.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
