Position Summary:

This role is a part of the enterprise function that is focused on products, projects. The role will manage enterprise products and strategic initiatives that impact multiple lines of business (“LOB”) and operating functions.

Essential Functions:

  1. Manage a portfolio of products and projects across various LOBs and report on status;
  2. Develop and maintain product strategies, including road map and operating model to support the product, and influencing policy and process to achieve these goals;
  3. Collaborate with technology and LOB leaders to align product/project goals, objectives, and technical capabilities as well as aligning these goals and objectives with enterprise strategic goals;
  4. Conduct product development and enhancement workshops; identify and prioritize product development opportunities, understand market segments, analyze competition in market affiliates, forecast market;
  5. Support central strategy and product plan to meet bank needs and goals;
  6. Product/technology vendor selection and relations; support negotiations, due diligence, project management;
  7. Market research and analysis; provide perspective relevant to Bank objectives, maintain internal product needs gap analysis and overall strategic alignment;
  8. Maintain and enhance knowledge, current and evolving concepts, practices, processes, laws/regulations, and technologies in financial management working in collaboration with Bank subject matter experts;
  9. Develop and maintain network of industry peers, attend relevant User and Vendor Conferences;
  10. Conduct product showcases at internal events (e.g., sales conferences, executive offsites); organize forums and roundtable product discussions, organize vendor participation;
  11. Monitor product and project performance and delivery against established indicators including quality, timeliness, utilization;
  12. Follow-up on progress of resolution for quality service issues; and
  13. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has limited supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type:

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Travel:

Some travel (20%) is expected for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This position uses office equipment such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines, calculators, filing cabinets and printers.

Physical Demands:

This position will be responsible for writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.

Mental Demands:

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance required
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years' experience in Product Development or Product Management
  • 2-5 years’ experience with or in project management or product release management and related methodologies
  • Experience working in matrix management and multi-site environments
  • Experience providing thought leadership
  • Experience building process and infrastructure to support product ownership (e.g., governance, controls)
  • Collaboration and relationship management skills required; ability to manage upwards and horizontally with extensive experience/ability to influence and negotiate with individuals outside span of control, developing trust and credibility
  • Knowledge/experience with designated product(s) assigned and/ or general bank product knowledge
  • Understanding of current industry trends and issues as they relate bank products
  • Priority management and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills as individual interfaces with all levels of management
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
