Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Residential Programs

Job Type : Full-time - Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat, 11pm - 9am

Required experience : 1-year experience as CNA

Required license or certification : WA State CNA required

Responsible for attending to patient medical needs and assisting in the maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment. May be assigned to one or more programs.

Job Requirements:

• Assist THIRA nurse to create, maintain, and track patient health history and medical documentation
• Perform skin check on patients with a history of Non-Suicidal Self Injury (NSSI) and inform the team of any observed evidence of recent NSSI
• Assist patients with self-administered medication while on-site at program
• Administer lab orders and call in prescription refills on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer
• Observe and report changes in patient’s behaviors, physical symptoms, and mental health status to the clinical team, including licensed nurse and Chief Medical Officer
• Conduct vital sign exams on a weekly basis and document quickly and accurately in electronic health record
• Support and assist psychotherapists, dietitians, art therapist, and milieu support therapist in creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu environment
• Assist with medical supply ordering and track usage of these supplies
• Perform job duties while complying with all HIPAA, institutional and health department regulations
• Support Mental Health/Diet Technicians responsibilities as needed
