ThinKom Solutions, Inc. is looking for qualified applicants to work with a team in the Supply Chain & Materials department and be responsible for inventory control/management, picking and supplying the Kan-Ban production line with parts, kitting various sub-assemblies for production, and being cross-trained in packaging/shipping. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 2 years warehouse experience
• Forklift certified or prior experience
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying both internal and external customer requirements
• Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
• Basic PC Skills - Able to use Microsoft programs as well as a printer, scanner, and copier.
• Ability to multi-task, cross train, and get things done

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Reads and follows instructions such as kitting, packaging and supply procedures, and other duties as needed
• Reviews production floor for replenishment of Kan-Ban bins.
• Perform cycle counts for inventory materials.
• Perform kitting operations for assemblies to supply to the production floor
• Cross-trained to support shipping department in packaging and shipping of customer products.
• Follow all department safety procedures and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Other duties as assigned

• Basic PC Skills - Able to use Microsoft programs as well as a printer, scanner, and copier.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and willfulness to cross train

Language Skills

• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to follow instructions and perform necessary duties.
• Must understand inventory count accuracy and be able to work in a focused Kan-Ban environment with First In First Out (FIFO) methodology

Additional Skills and Experience Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience in Leanmanufacturing principles (5S) Kaizen methodology
• Epicor ERP system
• Experience in Lean 
• Experience using a bar coded inventory system

Physical Demands & Other: 

• This position is primarily a standing position. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and bend.
• Will often be lifting and/or moving parts or boxes up to 50 pounds.
• May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.
• Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials and chemicals. 
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Good manual dexterity, able to pick up small parts and complete kitting requirements
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Status required.
