Job Description:
As a Business Analyst specializing in SAP FI/CO, you will be instrumental in the architecture, setup, configuration, testing, and support of ERP-related finance functions. This role requires an expert who can translate complex business requirements into efficient solutions, optimizing business processes and ensuring consistent implementation across various ERP systems including SAP, BPC, Concur, and Kyriba.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain SAP FI/CO modules to meet business requirements, adhering to change management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop solutions to business challenges within SAP FI/CO.
  • Document development requirements for the technical team to communicate business needs effectively.
  • Design, test, and validate integration points between FI/CO and other SAP modules as well as external applications.
  • Create and maintain business process mappings to facilitate process improvements, changes, or gap identifications.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing of processes and systems, organizing and leading these efforts to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting, fostering best practices within the FI/CO user community.
  • Develop and support FI/CO power users across the business, enhancing user capability and system utilization.
  • Interface with external analysts for advanced support levels, ensuring optimal service delivery to the business.
  • Manage responsibilities within the SAP helpdesk, assisting users and monitoring system performance.
  • Support audit and compliance efforts as needed, maintaining stringent control environments in line with SOX requirements.
  • Available for occasional weekend support and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge of Finance, Control, and Accounting:
  • Standard Costing : Proficiency in managing and analyzing standard cost systems to maintain accurate cost data.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivables : Expertise in managing the flow of outgoing and incoming payments, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing.
  • General Ledger Reporting and Reconciliation:Capability to maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Purchase Price and Manufacturing Variances: Skilled in tracking and analyzing variances from standard costs to actual production costs.
  • SAP BPC Consolidation Tool:Experienced in using SAP Business Planning and Consolidation tool for financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Treasury:Knowledgeable in managing organizational funds, investments, and liquidity to ensure the financial health of the business.
  • Credit Management : Proficient in assessing credit risk and managing credit policies to minimize financial risk.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Thorough understanding of US GAAP, US Sales Tax, and 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • SOX Controls and Requirements : Competent in implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures to meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO, with a strong understanding of financial operations and processes.
  • Familiarity with other SAP modules (SD, MM, QM, WM) and interactions between FI/CO and CO/PA.
  • Basic knowledge of ABAP, EDI, IDocs, user-exits, SAPscript, migration tools, and interfacing.
  • Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to workplace challenges.
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in supporting SAP Finance processes and leading SAP project initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
SAP FI certification is mandatory.

This role is critical in driving improvements and maintaining high standards of ERP implementation across all business lines, ensuring that business operations are supported by robust and efficient financial systems.
