Consultant II

We are an international premium consulting company looking for a Consultant II to join our team in the Netherlands. Friendly working environment with great amenities. The Consultant II will assist the Senior Consultant plan, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party suppliers, contractors, or consultants to deliver projects according to plan and client requirements. This will include administrative tasks required for the smooth running of a project such as scheduling meetings, booking rooms, and resources, organizing venues, taking minutes, creating presentations, document management, project plan maintenance, and more. The Consultant II will also run small projects on his/her own.

Job Responsibilities:

Task Tracking

  • Gathers all project information: schedules, data requests, assignments, tasks, and project meetings.
  • Works with the project team to understand and assist with tracking all work, tasks, and project assignments.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks and all sites involved in the project.
  • Working with the project lead and assisting in developing a comprehensive workflow process for the project.
  • Assist in monitoring and modifying project schedule as needed.
  • Develops and reviews project status and reports with project lead guidance.
  • Process customer schedules and reports to ensure we are meeting all appropriate customer needs and expectations.

Meeting Coordination and Documentation

  • Prepare and/or edit meeting minutes, presentations and tables.
  • Assists project team and team lead in strategic meetings and follow up with meeting notes.
  • Schedule project follow-up meetings as needed.
  • Develops and publishes communications to project shareholders with project leads guidance.
  • Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as required.

Quality Control and Document Management

  • Conduct quality control activities in accordance with guidance from project leads.
  • Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures.
  • Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents, and assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.
  • Maintain document control, database management, track project activities, and team communication.

Project Control

  • Assist with the review of project proposals and deliverables with project leads to determine the proper lead time, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Coordinate resources to support project activities
  • Learn and utilize client processes to facilitate project flow
  • Maintain good communication with technicians and contractors to assure timely and efficient completion of jobs, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation of the entire process at each job site.
  • Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervision.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Manages parts of or whole projects in line with Client and project requirements;
  • Helps create business cases, and define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor all project documentation for completeness and version control.
  • Report on the progress of work regarding projects.
  • Report on the progress of all communication to/from stakeholders
  • Identify and raise issues and risks and recommend action to resolve them.
  • Collection and analysis of project data.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of all elements of the Project Team to provide an effective and informed service to colleagues and customers.
  • Represent the Project Team at occasional meetings as requested by the Senior Consultant;
  • Create Project workflows, work breakdown structures, and project plans

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, individuals may be asked to train others in areas that management/principals determine is necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The consultant II standard work week but may be required to work evenings and weekends to deliver urgent client deliverables. With the continued impact of COVID-19 and social distancing measures, we fully supports remote work until COVID-19 mandates are lifted.

Travel

With the continued impact of COVID-19 and social distancing measures, We fully support remote work until COVID-19 mandates are lifted. This position may require 10% of Travel under the safety measures of the COVID-19 impact.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years in working with a wide range of projects as a project coordinator; experience as junior project manager on a small to medium project preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare projects including EMR deployments and enhancements is highly desirable
  • Ability to probe for information and ask the right questions;
  • Ability to assign and track tasks with others;
  • Ability to report on project progress;
  • Knowledge of PM standards;
  • Organized with attention to detail;
  • Customer service oriented;
  • Advanced document management skills;
  • High level of oral, written, and computer software communication skills;
  • Efficient and able to prioritize tasks
  • Self-starter, proactive
  • Ability to work according to tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Creative and problem-solving thinking;
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint); Visio, MS Project preferred;
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision as well as work as part of a team;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field highly desired;
  • CAPM or equivalent or basic technology certification required.
