Description
As an Energy Specialist, you will conduct energy assessments of small/medium commercial and industrial buildings on behalf of utilities and energy program sponsors. Energy Specialists identify potential energy-efficiency measures and develop and present proposed work plans to energy end-users. These positions support RISE Engineering's growth in the Cape Cod market. Excellent career opportunity for individuals with residential energy-efficiency experience who are interested in serving commercial buildings and more complex systems or for candidates with specialized experience in applicable technologies.
Responsibilities:

• Evaluate opportunities for efficiency upgrades and controls.
• Develop proposals for recommended energy-efficiency measures, including accurate cost estimates.
• Present proposals and associated benefits, costs and savings to customers and secure approval to proceed.
• Coordinate all available incentives and financing options, including utility-company rebates.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, and follow up as necessary to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Qualify prospects and tailor audits and analyses to their needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to tactfully manage customer relationships.
• A commitment to and enthusiasm for energy efficiency.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus post-high-school studies in a relevant technical discipline.
• Other combinations of education, training and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record and the ability to travel daily to customers' businesses.
