TheWrap is seeking a versatile film reporter with industry experience, connections and knowhow. The writer should be ready to tackle film and film industry news with a passion for the film business.
The ideal candidate is not someone who just waits around for an assignment (though there will certainly be plenty). You’re on the pulse of what’s in development, what’s in production and what’s coming up from the major studios, with a passion for digging into the how’s and why’s of filmmaking from both a business and creative perspective. A love of movies is a must.
Your copy should be clean, clever and conversational. Knowledge of AP style and love of a good headline is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, energetic and capable of multitasking in a real-time news environment, with a specific emphasis on covering the business of film and how decisions in Hollywood affect the film industry as a whole.
