As a dog walker for TheTreat, you will walk dogs from clients' homes as scheduled. You will follow instructions for retrieving the dog from the home, taking the dog on a walk, and leaving the dog in the home. Dog walkers have the option to make themselves available for overnight pet sitting in the client's home.

Job Expectations

• A dog walker for TheTreat should have an interest in dogs and being outside. Clients may choose a thirty or sixty minute walk. You may utilize that time by walking, playing fetch, cuddling, feeding, and more.
• Clients will be located within a 30 minute radius of TheTreat, located at 35 Little Farms Road in Framingham.
• Walks are thirty minutes or sixty minutes long. Walkers will be paid $20 per thirty minute walk and $30 per sixty minute walk.
• Dog walkers are expected to communicate directly with the dog owners to provide updates and express any concerns.
• Dog walkers are expected to keep the dog safe. You will ensure the dog is always in your control and out of harm’s way such as traffic or conflicts with other dogs.
• Dog walkers are expected to keep the house tidy. If you see an accident, you will make all attempts to clean it up effectively to ensure a sanitary place for the dog to return.
• Dog walkers will have control over their schedule. They are expected to complete the walk if clients book with them or find their own coverage with another walker at TheTreat if a scheduling conflict arises.

Job Requirements

• Comfortable with a variety of ages and breeds of dogs
• Interest in dog training, but experience not required
• A valid driver’s license and vehicle for getting to and from clients
