Senior Electrical Engineer (Contract to Hire)

Client:

Our client is a well-funded medical device startup with one commercial product already successful in the market. This Electrical Design Engineering role will involve joining a small team of engineers who are working on current and future products.

This role is a contract-to-hire position with a conversion target in 1-2 quarters.

Daily Requirements:

• Work with cross-functional members of Noah to generate requirements (ERDs) to build into schematics.
• Build schematic designs (in Altium.)
• Work with mechanical engineers and PCBA vendors to build into layouts.
• Build layout designs (in Altium.)
• Review designs from other team members when needed.
• Bring up and debug on various PCBAs
• Expect various relevant documentation for all PCBA designs.

Experience:

• 7 experience in electrical engineering.
• 3 years of experience in Altium Designer
• Previous work experience with motor control electrical designs: bridge drivers for DC and BLDC motors, analog and digital encoders, sensitive feedback for closed loop control, motor driver selection, interface circuitry, and protection and safety features.
• Previous work experience with low speed design: USB, Ethernet 10/100, SPI, I2C, etc...
• Previous work experience with power architecture design
• Bonus: previous work experience with MIPI
• Bonus: previous work experience with embedded programming (enough to get the board up and running.)
• Bonus: previous work experience with Ethercat architecture.
• Bonus: previous work experience using FPGAs for motor control.
