Sr. Director Operations/Manufacturing- Digital Practical Process Improvement
Location: Morrisville, NC or Houston, TX

The Sr. Director Operations/Manufacturing - Digital Practical Process Improvement (PPI) is responsible for enhancing digital capabilities to enhance business performance across end-to-end operations, including manufacturing and distribution. The role involves collaborating with IT, Engineering, and Operations leaders to establish business objectives, technology plans, and projects, and drive a digital strategy that brings about significant impact and differentiated performance.
What you will do?
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term strategic plan aimed at incorporating the latest digital capabilities (e.g., Industry 4.0 technologies) into all aspects of our operations.
- Manage multiple cross-functional teams charged with driving digital projects across operations - initiate, guide, organize, trouble-shoot, and motivate specific activities of cross-functional teams
  • Establish a core team with digital operations skills that the divisions can use to implement solutions and lead projects.
  • Ensure alignment of program priorities with broad cross-functional team - quality, finance, regulatory, manufacturing, etc.
  • Collaborate closely and establish strong working relationships with manufacturing and supply chain management teams to support business plans and objectives. This role will involve identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing opportunities. Additionally, the position will work with different departments to enhance processes by optimizing information management.
  • Foster a forward-thinking approach to devise strategic plans that promote innovation and encourage the adoption of operational technology.
  • Works to solve manufacturing/operations' toughest problems, providing end-to-end support to ensure value is delivered and sustainable
  • Collaborate with important team members to implement strategic functional plans and oversee the related project lineup.
  • Provide technical vision and execution to ensure that current and new manufacturing processes are robust, efficient, and meet current quality and regulatory expectations
  • Regularly prepare management reports and participate in key internal meetings as required.
  • Develop and implement activities in accordance with the program's annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • Build and sustain employee engagement by creating a culture of efficient execution and an environment in which individuals and teams can excel and continuously improve;
  • Assist in establishing an effective technical and leadership development plan for the program
  • Influencing technology recommendations and decisions, ensuring investments are aligned with enterprise objectives
  • Plan and manage optimization and reduce process complexity through standardization of underlying technology across multiple business platforms and business units
What you will have?
  • Integrated supply chain/operations expertise. Over 10 years of direct experience in a large-scale multinational manufacturing environment, demonstrating a track record of improving supply chain and manufacturing operations performance. Ideally experienced in various manufacturing models, including make to stock, make to order, discreet manufacturing, and continuous processes.
  • Expert knowledge with at least 5-years' experience in project management and implementation of large-scale, transformation projects. Management-consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Expertise in capacity planning processes, advanced concepts, tools, and multiple ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change globally within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong ability to successfully complete multiple important projects under tight deadlines and limited resources, while adapting to a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Working knowledge of OT (operational technology) networks and topology. Experience in implementing SCADA technologies a plus.
  • Experience in collaborating across the supply chain to improve process outcomes.
  • Communication/Influence skills. Experience and ability to interact and influence senior management team.
  • Analytical skills. Able to spot trends and interpret data. Looks at data from different angles and asks the right questions to gain additional insights.
  • BS / BA degree from an accredited University in a quantitative or analytical field; Master of Business preferred.
