As a part time Farm Animal Care Associate, you will provide care to on-site animals in support of accomplishing our goal of improving lives.

Your work will support scientific discovery through diagnostic testing to help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

What will you do?

• Feed animals on weekends and provide care as needed. Approximately 16 hours per weekend.
• Perform routine or basic maintenance on all animal care facilities and equipment to include :
• Upkeep of fence lines, drainage ditches and lawn
• Operate farm and construction equipment and machinery such as tractors, trucks and loaders; use hand-held machinery for routine farm upkeep
• Report any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist or Senior Management.

How will you get here?

Education

Minimum Education : High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• 0-1 year of related farm or mechanical experience strongly preferred
• Certification / licensure in welding, plumbing or related field is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Maintain mechanical proficiency
• Possess basic skills operating hand tools and equipment in a farming environment.
