The Machine Shop Helper’s main responsibility is to prepare machined components for final inspection and assist Machinists with periodic machine maintenance and raw material preparation.

• Clean machined components using various methods and equipment required to meet cleanliness standards.

• Complete secondary operations or deburring operations as required.

• Operates manual equipment as required.

• Prepare raw material for use in the CNC Machines as required and helps load bar-stock into the bar feeders when requested.

• Assist Machinists with - machine maintenance as required.

• Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements based on the job assigned.

• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.

• Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State, and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
