General Labor – Industrial Blending and Packaging

Summary

Perform general labor production tasks on an assigned line or work station.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential duties for this job include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

Keep up with packaging line flow:

· Filling bags with industrial materials.

· Sealing bags with various means of closure.

· Stacking bags onto pallets or into boxes.

Discharging materials from small bags and bulk sacks into industrial mixers.

Performs weight check and visual check of product.

Assure machinery is running correctly, visually checks product.

Apply labels to packaging and pallets.

Verifies use and application of proper labels and packaging, verifies quality of package, changes labels, and verifies palletized quantities.

Maintain a clean and neat work area.

Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all plant and company safety rules.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desirable.

Previous packing experience is helpful.

Physical Demands

The employee (by themselves) must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally 50 or more. The employee must be able to withstand walking, lifting, bending, repetitive arm, shoulder and wrist motion.

Work Environment

Must be able to work in an unheated or air-conditioned industrial factory location.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 daylight, $16 afternoon shift and $17 midnight shift.

Supplemental pay types:

· Shift Differential: Afternoon shift $1.00 per hour / Midnight Shift $2.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

· Day Shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

· Afternoon Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am

· Midnight Shift: 11:30 pm – 8:00 am

Work Location: One location – New Eagle, PA

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
