Position: Propagation Technician

Reports To: Propagation Manager

Schedule: Full Time Hourly - Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30

Job Description:

The position of Propagation Technician is multifaceted, demanding both independent work and effective collaboration within a team. Technicians must demonstrate cleanliness and thoroughness, especially in the initial stages of product development. Precision is key throughout all phases, balancing delicacy with speed and efficiency. The Propagation department encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including cloning, clone care, measurement, nutrient mixing, potting rooted plugs, and intricate plant work to prepare them for the flowering stage. While these are the primary tasks, additional daily responsibilities are also integral. Recognizing that this role marks the initial phase in the process, technicians must prioritize timelines while ensuring efficiency at every step.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage time to meet project timelines.
  • Work seamlessly within a close-knit team and independently when required.
  • Exercise meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Maintain daily environmental and nutrient logs.
  • Execute precise cloning procedures.
  • Pot rooted plugs with care and accuracy.
  • Conduct weekly measurements of plants.
  • Prepare and mix nutrients as required.
  • Scout for pests and demonstrate the ability to identify them.
  • Implement and execute proper Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
  • Perform proper pruning of mother plants to ensure the healthiest cuts for batches.
  • Transplant batch plants into designated flower rooms.
  • Clean tables and re-bag for the next day's potting.
  • Maintain rooms to uphold hospital-grade cleanliness standards.
  • Apply foliar feed to batch plants if deemed necessary.

Compensation: $17/hour

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Retirement first of the month after 60 days employment
  • Vacation and sick time after completion of first 3 months of employment.
