ThemeWorks, Inc. is Hiring a Fiberglass Department Supervisor Near Orlando, FL

We are looking for an experienced Fiberglass Department Supervisor to join our team in High Springs, FL (just outside of Gainesville). The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and highly skilled in fiberglass production, including laminating chop and hand-laid glass, creating fiberglass components from molds and positive sculpts (one-offs).

Desired qualifications for this position include the following:

  • Highly experienced in fiberglass production, including gelcoats, laminating chop gun and hand-laid glass, casting fiberglass from molds, and laminating over positive sculpts
  • Experienced team leader in fiberglass production environment, leads by example
  • Experience creating molds, both silicone/urethane and “hard” molds of fiberglass
  • Preferred experience in themed fabrication
  • Motivated to continually develop technical knowledge and skills
  • Motivated to create quality work
  • Ability to handle and lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Responsibilities

  • The Fiberglass Department Supervisor will oversee all daily operations of the department, including department personnel management, daily production runs, interface with other departments, and ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time delivery
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Maintains shop workspace, equipment and tools
  • Researches, evaluates, and implements new technology to improve operations
