The Treasure Valley Family YMCA’s Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.

The Shuttle Driver provides safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Drive YMCA shuttle vehicle safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Create a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
• Ensure YMCA shuttle rules are announced and followed.
• Complete thorough pre- and post-trip checks each day.
• Clean out YMCA shuttle vehicle each day.
• Fulfil all job requirements from CD Assistant Teacher when assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to meet YMCA transportation/driving requirements.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position averaging 10 to 12 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday 8:15am to 9:30am.
