We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Opticians to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position will have a love for glasses and a passion for helping people. A successful candidate will be responsible for helping customers select a pair of glasses which meets their unique needs. This is an excellent position if you can communicate well with customers and have a high level of attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications

PREFERRED SKILLS FOR OPTICIAN

• Ability to greet customers in a polite, prompt, helpful manner, and provide any necessary instructions or directions while demonstrating effective customer service skills.
• Extremely efficient, organized and resourceful.
• Previous retail experience preferred, but will train
• Must be able to work with patients in regard to insurance questions and updating patient information for appropriate billing.
• Ability to learn and apply optical knowledge
• Must be able to multi-task and complete all other assigned projects and duties.
• Must be computer literate w/ a strong typing speed.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OPTICIAN

• Assist customers with selection of eyewear based on prescription written by Optometrist and individual needs
• Can meet or exceed pre-established Company goals
• Take optical measurements for customer eyewear
• Adusting eyeglasses
• Dispense eyewear to customers
• Listen and respond immediately with an appropriate level of concern to all customer issues. Can analyze problems effectively and help correct them.
• Check status and notify customers when orders are delayed
• Help maintain the eye clinic's appearance at all times

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR OPTICIAN

Required:

• High School diploma

Preferred:

• Prior experience in optical
• Prior sales experience
• Familiar with Revolution software
