Job Title: Bilingual Counseling Advocate

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Counseling Advocacy Manager

Job Purpose

Counseling Advocate provides trauma-informed case management, counseling advocacy, and group sessions to victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize clients’ self-identified case management and counseling needs. Develop customized plans.
• Make initial contact with clients within 24 hours of being assigned the case.
• Conduct trauma-informed, survivor-centered, goal-oriented counseling advocacy with clients on a regular basis.
• Provide crisis intervention to walk-in clients as needed.
• Co-facilitate group sessions on various relevant topics.
• Provide referrals for needed services to appropriate agencies and providers.
• Update and maintain accurate client charts.
• Provide updates to the Counseling Advocacy Manager.
• Additional responsibility as a Medical Advocate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in social services or a related field
• Three years of experience providing social services to individuals and groups.
• Fluent in Spanish

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
