A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Kavitha Sarma at The Wistar Institute. The Sarma lab investigates mechanisms of gene regulation through RNA-containing chromatin structures called R-loops using neurodifferentiation and cancer models. Candidates with strong interest in gene regulation, chromatin architecture, epigenetic mechanisms, and non-coding RNA biology are encouraged to apply. A strong background in molecular biology and some experience in analysis of genomics datasets (eg. RNAseq, ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN) is required. Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) degree and must have at least one first author peer reviewed publication.
