SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Experience with managing Microsoft Active Directory environment including related services

 Experience managing e-mail systems and e-mail security systems

 Experience with virtual server environments especially VMware/Broadcom

 Associate’s Degree in related field (copy required upon hire)

 Yearly Physical (required within 1 month of hire)

 Valid NYS Driver’s License (copy required upon hire)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Bachelor’s degree in related field

 Understanding of single-sign on technologies and identity integrations

 Proficiency in scripting or automation tools REQUIREMENTS Must successfully complete all required background checks:

 Criminal History Record Checks (CHRC)

 NYS Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR)

 NYS Sex Offender Registry (SOR)

 NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) fingerprinting

 NYS Justice Center Staff Exclusion List (SEL)  Out-of-state child abuse register inquiry of any state in which the person resided within the last five years (if applicable)

HOURS

 5 days per week, 8:00 AM – 5 PM

 Must be flexible to meet the needs of the program

$68,000 - $80,000

OBJECTIVES OF POSITION

 Ensure consistent availability and accessibility of IT services to appropriate users and systems, updating and upgrading systems, modernizing and integrating infrastructure while maintaining a healthy cybersecurity posture and communicating changes effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Monitor and manage backup and replication environment for all production systems ensuring business continuity goals

B. Maintain server operating system and platform updates while maintaining consistent service levels utilizing off-hours maintenance if necessary

C. Maintain network storage and virtual hosting environment ensuring resources are applied to meet performance expectations

D. Implement and manage alerting systems to ensure important systems notifications are transmitted to appropriate personnel

E. Review systems reports, monitoring for health and performance issues and cybersecurity concerns

F. Manage e-mail security systems

G. Manage e-mail and collaboration platforms

H. Implement and maintain directory integrations

I. Maintain thorough environment documentation and utilize change management techniques

J. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices across systems

K. Maintain testing environment

L. Manage secure certificates ensuring actively used certificates do not expire

M. Manage identity and cybersecurity platforms ensuring practice meets policy goals while maintaining usability

N. Communicate changes effectively to team members and/or stakeholders

O. Responsible for adhering to and performing all duties following all rules, regulations, policies, and safety standards of The William George Agency and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, while upholding our mission, vision, and values.

About The William George Agency for Children’s Services

The William George Agency for Children’s Services is located on a 650-acre campus nine miles northeast of Ithaca, in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. It is a private not-for-profit residential treatment center licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) that serves both male and female youth between the ages of 12 and 21, and their families, who present with significant mental health issues, behavioral difficulties, and substance abuse issues. Our programs offer an array of treatment modalities specifically designed to meet the needs of our youth.
