ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Manager for our Chestnut Hill location is expected to be a strong representation and reinforcement of company values and standards, and preferably will have something of an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about luxury fashion, possess the ability to sell effectively to a luxury clientele, and have a deep knowledge of the brands we carry.
In addition, the ideal candidate will become extremely familiar with the WHEAT Collection line that includes luxury essentials, candles, and fragrances. Having a familiarity of the local area and understanding seasonal sales trends is also beneficial.
This candidate will be able to draw upon their previous management experience to help lead the team to success in reaching monthly store sales goals, maintaining visual displays, and engaging in weekly team conference calls. Prior experience in clienteling, supervising a team, cash handling, register operations, receiving and processing shipments, daily inventory counts of fine goods, and light cleaning duties is a must. The candidate must be able to work independently and be willing to problem solve. Visual skills are not required, but are preferred as this position requires communication with our merchandising team. This role will require a strong ability to communicate both verbally and written on a day to day basis, along with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to the Operations Manager and Home Office team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
Ongoing training of sales associates to ensure that goals are met
Ongoing training and management of employees to ensure that the store standards are upheld
Co-ordinating resources to move product between locations or obtain supplies to ensure stores run smoothly
Weekly conference calls with Operations Manager
Demonstrating a strong understanding of leadership and self-motivation
Assisting guest's needs and problem solving any guest related concerns within company standards
Full responsibility over cash handling, cash register, nightly deposits, and change orders as needed as well as running reports to validate
cash on hand and deposits to communicate with Operations Manager & Home Office
Ability to navigate the Point-of-Sale system extensively, and then develop comprehensive ability to train others on its functionality Understanding the monthly sales goals along with sales strategizing to maximize profitability
Responsibility leading a team, and bringing solutions for any hiring/scheduling needs to Operations Manager and/or Home Office
A consistent and active presence on the sales floor, providing coverage where necessary to maintain store hours and service standards Sales floor maintenance including, but not limited to; the oversight and/or implementation of restocking, merchandizing, and cleaning Receiving inventory & following protocol for checking in and merchandizing on the floor, along with oversight of others performing task
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
A thorough background of retail knowledge is a must: customer service, various POS systems, inventory management, clienteling, and a pre- existing product knowledge of luxury and advanced contemporary fashion brands
BA in Fashion, Merchandizing, or related field not required, but is a plus
A minimum of 4 years experience in a management role, preferably within a retail environment
A proven track record of assisting high end clientele
Applied experience and understanding of all Microsoft Office Products
Demonstrable skills in being detail-oriented and self-motivated
Ability to think independently and troubleshoot technological difficulties
Days, nights, and some weekends are a must; this role takes full responsibility for fulfilment of store operational hours
Must be willing to travel when required
