In this pivotal role, you will create vision, strategy and plans to build a high performing engineering team. This team is modernizing the Pricing platform across the entire business lines of Western Union and will be an enabler, influencer for the business strategy through its key deliverables. Role Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
• Execute to success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making.
• Interface and collaborate with other engineers/ contractors in geographically distributed development centers.
• Practice and advocate Agile software development methodology in the team to build ownership and accountability.
• Lead software engineering teams to define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the SDLC, rolling up the sleeves and getting hands-on as necessary.
• Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Hold regular 1-1s with direct reports, help them navigate challenges, and coach them for their career development.
• Be a culture champion on the team and across the company.

Role Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related fields with 10 years of professional experience or MS with 8 years of experience
• 2 years of professional experience in a management or team-lead role.
• Expertise and experience in Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in modern programming languages (for example, Java/C ) and design patterns.
• Team player with excellent decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience with Microservices and cloud-native technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure.
• Experience in Financial Services industry - preferred.

Salary

The annual gross base salary range is $99,700.00 - $175,700.00. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus and Long-term Incentives. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
