Salary Range: $28.00 - $37.00 Hourly

EHR Support Analyst Level l

DEPARTMENT: CLINICAL

POSITION TYPE: 24 32 hours per week

POSITION: EHR Support Analyst Level l

REPORTS TO: Chief Clinical Officer

SALARY: $28 - $37 per hour, DOE

SUMMARY: The EHR Support Analyst (ESA) Level l possesses an understanding of Epic and health center operations. The ESA l is responsible for supporting the ESA Level ll with EHR system maintenance, overall success of the EHR support, and assists with the training and knowledge transfer and Super Users and end users.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Participate in the interpretation & documentation of system changes, user requirements, quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing to ensure end user requirements are met with a focus of efficient clinic workflow.
  • Assist in the development of role-based workflows, including design and development of instructional materials.
  • Assist with ticket resolution.
  • Assist in the development of the Super User team, conducting trainings as needed.
  • Assist in new hire and ongoing trainings for all clinical staff and some non-clinical staff.
  • Support providers and staff in EHR efficiency through training and customizations
  • Work collaboratively with the ESA Level ll and Super Users on EHR training materials and classes
  • Provide management technical system guidance to improve and streamline operational workflows.
  • Conduct periodic observations of end users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for workflow redesign.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise on the operation and application of the EHR system.
  • Assist in documenting super user work and conducting assessments of the site's super user team.
  • Perform daily system maintenance as instructed by Vendor.
  • Review all system notifications and updates, and documents changes to workflows.
  • Assist in the Implementation changes in the EHR as they relate to the workflows.
  • Coordinate system changes with leadership for decision making.
  • Must be able to travel between WOHC clinics to support EHR onsite training and trouble shooting.
  • Participate in staff meetings, attend other meeting and training events as assigned.
  • May be required to perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has a working knowledge of key indicators, standards, and processes related to EHR systems.
  • Possess workflow knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of health center operations medical dental, and behavioral health.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles.
  • Experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), including regulatory and compliance.
  • Experience with EHR software, specifically Epic, is preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including editing, correspondence, and report creation
  • High degree of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work professionally with all levels of leadership.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, work autonomously, and establish clear timelines, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent administrative skills including being detailed oriented.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including adjusting priorities, and establishing positive and professional relationships.
  • Technical proficiency, including familiarity with MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and web applications.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment, generating efficient solutions to issues as they arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Possession of an Associate Degree from an accredited college in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum two years Epic experience in similar role, ideally with a health care facility/provider supporting underserved communities.
  • Three years of Health IT experience desired.
  • EPIC clinical and project management certifications preferred.
