Assistance with appropriate placement: Social workers aid in finding an appropriate place for potential residents, evaluating their needs and preferences to ensure the best possible fit.

Conducting pre-admission discussions and tours: Before admitting a new resident, social workers speak with families and provide facility tours to give them a better understanding of the nursing home environment.

Facilitating the admission process: Social workers help streamline the admission process by gathering background information on new residents and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted.
