Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children.
Responsibilities:
- Support classroom activities and ensure a safe and nurturing environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges
- Foster a love for learning through engaging activities and interactive lessons
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Assist with daily tasks such as mealtime, naptime, and bathroom breaks
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a Montessori or educational setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
