THE WATERS OF MINOCQUA is Hiring a Lifeguard Near Minocqua, WI

Description

The Lifeguard will ensure the safety of property guests within the aquatic facility. The Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring guests are following all safety rules and precautions and respond quickly to emergencies or dangerous behavior. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Actively guards and scans the pool area at all times, refrains from socializing.
  • Enforce all safety rules to prevent accidents. 
  • Provide a welcoming environment to all guests. 
  • Respond immediately to medical emergencies or distressed guests. 
  • Provide first aid, CPR, or other life-saving care treatments to guests when required.
  • Assist with setting up the facility for various water classes and activities. 
  • Conduct pool inspections and complete pool chemical logs and report concerns. 
  • Assists in maintaining a cleanly and stocked pool area. 
  • Attend regular in-service training as scheduled by Waterpark Manger. 
  • Ensures that each guest receives excellent service by providing a warm greeting and offering assistance.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Ability to remain calm and act appropriately under high-stress, emergency situations. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 

Education and Experience:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older. 
  • Must be certified by the American Red Cross (including CPR and First Aid)
    • Certification provided on-site if not previously certified
  • Previous lifeguard experience, preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Night and weekend availability.
  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Must be able to climb stairs occasionally.
