Diesel Maintenance Parts Department Advisor

Schedule: 2nd Shift: Mon-Friday, 2nd Shift 2pm - 12:30am.

Job Description:

As a Diesel Maintenance Parts Department Advisor at Encore Luxury Coach, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department by managing parts inventory, facilitating timely delivery, and assisting in the creation of assemblies for major service tasks related to coach repairs.

You will work closely with Diesel Technicians and other supporting departments to ensure that all parts maintenance needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management: Utilize the fleet maintenance system to monitor and manage parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.

2. Parts Procurement and Ordering: Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary parts, placing orders promptly and negotiating favorable terms to optimize cost-effectiveness.

3. Delivery Coordination: Organize and prioritize the delivery schedule for parts to Diesel Technicians and supporting departments, ensuring timely availability to minimize downtime.

4. Quality Control: Inspect incoming parts for quality and accuracy, verifying that they meet specifications before distribution to technicians.

5. Assembly Creation: Assist in creating assemblies for major service tasks related to coach repairs, ensuring all necessary parts are included and properly organized to streamline the repair process.

6. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to Diesel Technicians, helping them identify the right parts and assemblies for specific repair tasks.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of parts transactions, assembly creation, and service tasks within the fleet maintenance system, generating reports as needed for analysis and decision-making.

8. Collaboration with Service Department: Work closely with the service department to understand their needs and ensure that parts and assemblies are available as required for repair tasks.

9. Efficiency Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline parts procurement, delivery, and assembly creation processes, implementing improvements to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

10. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols during parts handling, delivery, and assembly creation, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in parts management or a similar role, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
  • Proficiency in using fleet maintenance systems and other relevant software for parts inventory management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and automotive parts is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,653.09 - $51,250.00 per year
