Job Summary:
We are seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations, as well as experience in report writing and training development. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentation
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including CPR, first aid, and other relevant topics
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans
- Stay up-to-date on current safety regulations and industry best practices
- Assist in workers compensation claims management, including filing claims and coordinating with insurance providers
- Support the development of safety-related training materials

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, workers compensation law, and occupational health standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and training development
- Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying causes of accidents or incidents
- Ability to fabricate solutions to address safety concerns or hazards
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to environmental health and safety

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
