The Village Brands is Hiring an Inventory Manager Near Hoboken, NJ

Job description

The Village Brands ("Village") is a multi-state cannabis holding company headquartered in Chicago. With a strong foothold in newly legalized states and select licensed municipalities, Village is committed to shaping the future of the cannabis industry. Founded by industry veterans Dan Pettigrew and Al Harrington, founders of Viola Brands, Village is dedicated to delivering premium cannabis experiences. Currently, Village operates retail dispensaries under the ViolaSTL and ViolaChi banners. Expanding its presence, Village is poised to unveil its flagship store in the vibrant Bucktown/Lincoln Park area of Chicago. Additionally, Village is gearing up to introduce its retail presence in Hoboken, New Jersey in 2024, catering to the burgeoning recreational cannabis market in New Jersey. In addition to its retail operations, Village holds cultivation and manufacturing licenses in Missouri and a cultivation license in Maryland. With strategic planning and meticulous execution, these facilities are slated to commence operations by 2025, further solidifying Village's position as an industry leader.

Inventory Manager Job Description

As an Inventory Manager you are responsible for working cohesively with store leadership in making sure the business runs efficiently and remains profitable to the organization. The Inventory Manager is responsible for safeguarding company assets by controlling inventory accuracy, monitoring stock levels, and reporting all aspects of store inventory. It is imperative that the Inventory Manager be capable of completing the essential duties for their position. The Inventory Manager position requires a high level of multi-tasking, in-depth level of product knowledge, excellent communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment customer service, and attention to detail. Due to the level of responsibility, job knowledge and access given, Inventory Managers are considered pre-management and are expected to be technically sound and personally driven to excel and exceed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Cannabis Inventory Management

· Accountable for accurate inventory intake and completing products in the POS system, inventory management software, and other internal forms; Must have experience with Metrc or similar inventory tracking system (2 years preferred).

· Audit all inventory levels for accuracy, including daily and weekly reconciliations.

· Adjust and track all changes in stock levels.

· Maintaining FIFO system for inventory.

· Manage and organize inventory in the fulfillment vault.

· Perform cycle counts.

· Ensure accuracy of online menu.

· Ensure inventory backstock is adequately supplied and labeled.

· Handle proper disposal of all THC waste.

Retail Operations Coordination

· Act as point of contact for all transactions and system expert.

· Submit all discrepancies with daily counts and work with the GM to address and rectify.

· Manage fulfillment/delivery department.

· Coordinate sales/discounts based on inventory.

· Create a hit list for low, aging, or slow-moving inventory.

· Handle and maintain a cash drawer for online orders.

· Handle and address online orders.

· Assist Budtenders on the sales floor as business needs dictate.

Compliance and Customer Care

· Ensure accuracy and separation of medical and adult use inventory on display and inside storage location, including flower and concentrates.

· Report any quality issues to management, including unsellable and expiring products at least 3 months before expiration.

· Abide by all company processes, core values, policies, and procedures.

· Maintain current knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the legal sale of cannabis products.

· Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of local laws.

· Minimum one year of customer care experience having demonstrated effective vendor management

Additional Requirements

· Team player, willing to work varied hours and days as business dictates

· Demonstrated professional work ethic, including attention to detail, ability to follow complex instructions with precision, strong math and counting skills

· Proficient in completing computer-based tasks, including the use of Microsoft Excel and other data entry programs

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment while communicating clearly and effectively in all situations with fellow team members, vendors and customers

· Ability to perform repetitive tasks that may require sitting or standing for long periods of time.

· Must be 21 years of age

· Must possess a valid license or state ID

· Must be able to work in close proximity to other people (employees, guests, vendors)

· Must be able to work in varying temperature-controlled environment

· Physical Qualifications: Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves and 75 pounds with a team member

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
