At The Village ABA, we are looking for an experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a passion for working with individuals with autism at our Fort Walton Beach, Florida location. An RBT is a paraprofessional who works under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and implements one-on-one direct treatment related to skill acquisition and behavior reduction targets. Therapy sessions at this location are mostly center-based; however, some in-home appointments may be required (as deemed appropriate by analyst). The daily work with clients is interactive and engaging and requires a consistent amount of physical and mental energy.

Job Description (job duties includes, but is not limited to):

  • Work one-on-one with individuals of all ages with developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorder
  • Implement ABA interventions outlined in behavioral treatment plans developed by our BCBA
  • Complete daily progress/session notes related to the implementation of the intervention plan in a timely manner and in accordance with The Village ABA guidelines • Enthusiastically motivate learners to be engaged throughout their session
  • Teach targeted skill acquisition goals and behavior reduction targets by following client’s treatment plan
  • Collect accurate data during each session to ensure the effectiveness of treatment
  • Apply feedback and training on ABA job performance given by the BCBA/BCaBA
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Implement written behavior plans as developed by the BCBA • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Current RBT license and in good standing with the BACB (1 year RBT certification preferred but not required)
  • Follow the RBT Ethics Code
  • Previous hands on experience working with children and/or children with special needs
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years of age at time of hire
  • Physical requirements may include: Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, pulling, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
