Is a member of the Therapeutic Recreation Department team and fulfils the duties required by that Department. Carries out nursing home policies and government regulations as required. You will follow the direction of the Therapeutic Recreation Director.QualificationsQualified candidates will have:• Practical knowledge of a variety of client populations• Education and / or experience in geriatrics and long term care• Knowledge and / or experience in documentation• Understand various Theories and Techniques ( Validation Therapy, Sensory, Stimulation, Redirection)• Must be flexible, creative, enthusiastic, and demonstrate much incentive and motivation.• Proficient in computer usage.• Able to complete MDS, Care Plans, Progress notes, and initial activities assessment.Additional InformationThis position will be 20-28 hours, afternoon/evening hours including 1 weekend a month.
