The US Oncology Network is Hiring a VP of Marketing, Communications, and Practice Growth Near DALLAS, TX

Overview:
At Texas Oncology, the Vice President of Marketing and Communications plays a pivotal role in leading our marketing, practice growth, and communications efforts. This position is responsible for implementing marketing strategies, developing brand awareness, managing public relations activities, and building relationships with community partners across Texas Oncology practices. The VP will develop plans, execute projects, and manage initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy. This includes managing vendor partners and communication agencies, as well as all aspects of their projects. The role entails managing and shaping all aspects of communication, marketing, and social media for Texas Oncology. The VP oversees staff responsible for executing the marketing and communication strategies and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides strategic direction and leadership for key marketing initiatives specific to Texas Oncology.
  • Responsible for design and production of all Texas Oncology communications, fliers, and other publicity for regular distribution to the community.
  • Reviews, strengthens, and maintains internal communication processes and branding standards for Texas Oncology.
  • Plans and manages a social media strategy (including Facebook, Instagram, etc.) designed to increase engagement for Texas Oncology.
  • Remains abreast of current marketing trends and tools, accumulating marketing data for senior leadership at Texas Oncology.
  • Writes briefs for agency partners to guide the development of creative material, outlining the strategic vision of projects for Texas Oncology.
  • Plans, develops, executes, and analyzes marketing tests for Texas Oncology, recommending action steps.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads Texas Oncology's marketing and communications team's talent strategy-recruiting, hiring, and growing team members. Manages and coaches team members, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team's work. Sets goals for marketing at Texas Oncology, at the organization, team, and individual levels.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required. Master's degree in Business Administration preferred. Ten years of consumer marketing experience in the healthcare sector, with a track record of successfully leading marketing and communications teams/projects in multi-layered/complex organizations, driving outcomes and maximizing talent, specifically within Texas Oncology or similar organizations.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in creating and leading strategic communications and marketing plans within Texas Oncology or similar healthcare organizations.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing internal communications plans and strategies to enhance organizational culture within Texas Oncology.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple channels within the healthcare sector.
  • Expertise in leading crisis communications/management in large healthcare organizations like Texas Oncology.
  • Experience working with news media, acting as a spokesperson, and drafting key messages and media content for Texas Oncology.
  • Successful creation and execution of social media campaigns to engage key audiences and drive outcomes for Texas Oncology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at data interpretation and making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing engagement programs and events to enhance customer loyalty and advocacy within the healthcare community.
  • Articulate communication skills, both written and oral, with experience in copywriting, editing, newsletter, website, and graphic design.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence, suited for a fast-paced, dynamic environment of Texas Oncology.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and maintain strong community partnerships.
  • Experience with budget management and tracking ROI on marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience in digital marketing, social media, and email marketing.
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit organization is advantageous.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in the dynamic environment of Texas Oncology.
