Physiatrist - Inpatient Rehabilitation

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiatrist to join our comprehensive healthcare team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. As a physiatrist, you will play a crucial role in leading and delivering patient-centered care to individuals undergoing rehabilitation, helping them regain function, mobility, and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medical care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, focusing on comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of therapists, nurses, and other medical professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Utilize your expertise to diagnose and manage a variety of conditions, such as musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and functional impairments.
• Lead and oversee the management of a 35-bed rehabilitation unit, ensuring high-quality care and facilitating patient progress.
• Contribute to the overall patient care experience, emphasizing functional improvement and quality of life.
• Engage in shared call coverage to ensure continuous patient care and coordination.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
• Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
• Fellowship training and relevant years of experience in Physiatry is desirable but flexible.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license in Vermont or elgible post hire.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing and managing physical and functional impairments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and functional improvement.
• Ability to lead and collaborate within a team-based care model.
