GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Practice Supervisor, the Office Coordinator works to ensure optimal front end operations. This position assists in all front end patient focused activities, ensuring exemplary customer service and patient focused care. This position provides office support services to include the coordination of patient activities, scheduling clinic visits, completing requisitions, and scheduling tests/procedures, as well as triaging telephone communications regarding customer service related needs, concerns, and directing patient flow in a time conscious manner.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills Required:
1. High school graduate or GED required
2. Associate’s degree in business or healthcare preferred.
3. 5 years medical office experience required.
4. Upon hire must be enrolled in medical terminology course or complete the course within three months of hire or have previously earned a medical terminology certificate (Anatomy and Physiology coursework completion with a grad of “C” or better will also satisfy this requirement).
5. Upon hire must be enrolled in a basic coding course or complete the course within three months of hire or have previously earned a basic coding course certificate.
6. Microsoft Excel and Word course certificates required, or evidence of passing a CVPH test requirement.
7. Experience with General Electric Centricity, Sorian Financials and Microsoft Office preferred.
8. One (1) year experience in a call enter located within an outpatient clinic required.
9. One (1) year experience working within EPIC required.
